A Day in the Life of a Family-Owned & Operated Business

The morning started with coffee, getting our kids off to school, and heading into the office to get the day moving.

Ivar Automotive LLC - owner Tony arrived very early and was taking care of three of our Jape Services vans. We had new tires installed on two of them, oil changes completed, and even brake pads replaced on one of the vans. Tony consistently does a top-notch job maintaining our fleet and understands how important it is to get our vehicles back on the road quickly so we can continue serving our customers.

From there, I headed to Kennesaw to pick up a coil from Trane Supply, then made a stop at Apex Supply in Marietta before getting back on the road for deliveries and customer visits.

Throughout the day, I had the opportunity to check in with several customers who are very happy with their installations so far. Seeing our customers pleased with the work our team is doing is always one of the most rewarding parts of the job.

I was also especially grateful to have my dad alongside me today, helping pick up and deliver parts. As a family-owned and operated business, having family involved is something we truly value. Daniel drove to Chattanooga and back today to get a special system for a customer. Busy season can mean long days and a lot of moving pieces, but being able to work alongside family makes it that much more meaningful.

Now I’m heading back to get in the car rider line for school pickup.

That’s the reality of owning a small, family-operated business. We wear a lot of hats. We work hard, stay involved, take care of our customers, support our team, and still make time for our families and our community.

It isn’t always easy, but we’re proud of what we’re building at Jape Services—one customer, one job, and one day at a time.

Today between appointments Daniel met a delivery driver from Trane to pick up one of our customers new units we are installing Friday. Our customer is upgrading their two older systems with new Trane XV20 Variable Speed Systems. This unit Daniel had to have shipped in from Greenville, South Carolina.

We are proud to be a sponsor for The Creekview High School Theatre Program for a second year in a row. These young people put in some long hours and late nights learning lines and dances, building sets, and putting on amazing shows through-out the school year.

If you are local they’d love to have you come out to see a show. This fall they will be performing Hello Girls- It tells the true story of America's first female soldiers, who served as bilingual telephone operators on the front lines of World War I and then fought a decades-long battle for veteran recognition.

They will also be performing Frozen and Legally Blonde later in the Winter/Spring.
