ARE YOU PREPARED FOR A HOME INVASION?
Most people think,
“That would never happen to me.”
The problem is… criminals don’t think that way.
They look for homes that are easy to get into and families that aren’t prepared.
Hope is not a plan. Preparation is.
If someone kicked in your front door tonight, ask yourself:
* Where does everyone go?
* Who grabs the kids?
* Who calls 911?
* Do you have a safe room?
* Does everyone know the plan?
* Or would everyone panic?
You won’t have time to make a plan during a home invasion.
You need one before it happens.
Start with the basics:
✔ Lock your doors and windows.
✔ Reinforce your exterior doors with quality deadbolts and long screws.
✔ Keep your exterior lights on or use motion-activated lighting.
✔ Place security cameras where they cover every entrance.
✔ Have a charged cell phone nearby at night.
✔ Decide on a family safe room and practice getting there.
✔ Create a family code word that means, “Go to the safe room now.”
✔ Teach everyone their job before an emergency happens.
Remember:
Confusion wastes time. A plan saves time.
At Wynn’s Home Awareness, I help families identify weaknesses before criminals do.
As a former law enforcement investigator, I’ll help you:
• Find vulnerable entry points
• Improve your home’s security
• Build a realistic family emergency plan
• Practice what to do if someone forces their way inside
The goal isn’t to live in fear.
The goal is to be ready if the unthinkable happens.
Because when seconds count…
You are your first responder.
