This one is brand new white oak, installed raw and then sanded, stained, and finished right on site by our crew. No factory bevels, no dust-catching grooves between boards, just one smooth, seamless surface from wall to wall. We kept the finish natural so the grain does the talking, and with all that glass letting the light pour in, it glows.

Site-finished hardwood is a different level. It's sealed as one continuous floor; it can be sanded and refinished again for decades, and the color is dialed in for your space, not picked off a shelf.

Built in 1855, the Lorenzo Bull House is still home to its original quarter-sawn red oak floors. This beautiful style of milling highlights the oakโ€™s shimmering ray-fleck grain while producing boards built for remarkable stability and longevity.

And those boards had already lived quite a life before becoming a floorโ€”the trees may have been 100โ€“180 years old when harvested, with some possibly taking root in the late 1600s or 1700s!

We werenโ€™t here to make these floors look brand-new. We were here to honor every year, every step and every storyโ€”then give it all a beautiful new glow.

Thank you to the Quincy Preserves and the Friends of the Lorenzo Bull House for trusting us with such a special piece of Quincyโ€™s story. What an incredible project!
