Beginning November 27th in Georgia, the Holly Jolly Jekyll celebration brings over 1.5 million Christmas lights and more than 350 holiday displays to beautiful Jekyll Island along the Georgia coast! Running through January 3rd, 2027, this celebration fills the island’s Historic District with glowing Christmas trees, colorful decorations, and huge live oak trees draped in Spanish moss and thousands of twinkling lights. One of the biggest sights is the Great Tree, covered in more than 45,000 lights! You can drive through the displays yourself, ride an open-air trolley on a Holly Jolly Light Tour, or enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride through the decorated historic grounds. Families can play Christmas-themed mini golf at Peppermint Land, surrounded by giant gumdrops, gingerbread characters, and candy canes. There are also visits with Santa, holiday scavenger hunts, caroling, storytelling, and special historic tours. On December 5th, the Winter Carnival brings free rides, games, and music to the Village Green. You can also enjoy holiday treats, seasonal teas, and festive events at the historic Jekyll Island Club Resort. A special fireworks show on December 21st adds another exciting night to this coastal Christmas celebration!
