Today I had the opportunity to attend the Women Leading the Way - CREW Jacksonville luncheon and hear from Lisa Palmer, CEO of Regency Centers.

Her journey to becoming CEO was both inspiring and a great reminder that leadership is built through perseverance, continuous learning, and a willingness to embrace new opportunities.

One of my favorite parts of the day was connecting with so many talented professionals across the commercial real estate and construction industries.

Events like these remind me that our work is built on relationships as much as it is on buildings. Thank you to Crew Jacksonville for hosting another outstanding event and creating space for meaningful conversation, professional growth, and new connections.

Some days remind you that business is really about people.

Today's CREW Jacksonville luncheon was one of those days. It was such a pleasure spending time with so many talented professionals in the commercial real estate and construction industry—not just talking about projects, but getting to know one another on a more personal level.

The conversations, laughter, shared experiences, and willingness to support one another are what make this community so special. It's always refreshing to step away from the day-to-day and build relationships that go beyond a business card.

I'm thankful for everyone I had the opportunity to meet today, and I'm looking forward to staying connected and seeing where those relationships lead.

Another great morning of learning and networking!

Today, our team had the opportunity to attend the Plan Review Class hosted by Associated Builders & Contractors - Florida First Coast Chapter (Associated Builders and Contractors). It's always valuable to invest time in continuing education and staying current on the processes that help projects move efficiently from planning to construction.

One of the things I appreciate most about organizations like ABC is their commitment to providing educational opportunities that strengthen our industry while bringing together professionals who are passionate about building better.

At BEMAR Construction, we believe that learning never stops. The more knowledge we gain, the better equipped we are to serve our clients, collaborate with our industry partners, and deliver successful projects from start to finish.

Another great morning Nefba- the Northeast Florida Builders Association!

Today’s membership meeting was a wonderful reminder that our industry is about so much more than the buildings we construct—it’s about the lives we help build along the way.

It was truly inspiring to watch so many outstanding NEFBA members be recognized for their generosity, dedication, and involvement with Villages of Hope. Their commitment to giving back is making a real difference in our community.

Villages of Hope is creating something extraordinary—a thoughtfully designed tiny-home community that provides women escaping human trafficking and sexual exploitation with a safe place to heal, rebuild, and begin a new chapter. It’s a powerful mission that offers not only shelter, but hope, dignity, and the opportunity for a brighter future.
