We’re excited to share that Union Terminal Warehouse is getting its moment on the big screen! 📺

The historic Jacksonville warehouse—transformed through an adaptive reuse project designed by Dasher Hurst Architects and completed in 2025—was recently filmed for an upcoming episode of America ByDESIGN™, a series associated with CBS News that celebrates creativity, design, and innovation across America.

DHA Project Architect Julia Epstein joined the production team and Ryan Akin of Columbia Ventures on site to share the story behind the project and the design process that brought this remarkable historic building back to life.

From a century-old warehouse to a vibrant new destination for living, working, creating, and gathering—this is a story we’re proud to tell.

We're proud to share that Dasher Hurst Architects has received an AIA Florida Honor Award for Historic Preservation and Restoration for our work on the Union Terminal Warehouse in Jacksonville.
This remarkable adaptive reuse project transformed a 100-year-old concrete warehouse into a vibrant mixed-use destination that preserves an important piece of Jacksonville's industrial heritage while giving it new life for the next century.
Historic preservation is about more than restoring buildings—it's about preserving stories, strengthening communities, and creating places that connect our past with our future. We are incredibly grateful to our client (Columbia Ventures), consultants, contractors, and everyone who helped make this vision a reality.
A very special congratulations and heartfelt thank you to Julia Epstein, who did an outstanding job serving as Project Architect. Julia's leadership, attention to detail, and commitment to honoring the building's historic character while integrating its new uses were instrumental in the success of this project. We couldn't be more proud of her work and this well-deserved recognition.

We’re excited to share the completion of Genesis Autofair in Bedford, New Hampshire.
This new 37,000-square-foot dealership reflects a clean, contemporary design that showcases the Genesis brand while creating an elevated experience for customers and staff alike.
We're grateful for the opportunity to bring another successful automotive project to completion for a valued long-term client.

We were honored to attend the grand opening of the new TruFi Credit Union branch in Callahan yesterday.

The building’s design is a contemporary interpretation of the rural Northwest Jacksonville and Nassau County landscape, drawing inspiration from the metal-clad agricultural and utility structures that line the busy US 301 corridor. Natural materials—including wood siding, exposed trusses, decorative grilles, and stone accents—help soften the architecture and create a welcoming, residential character that feels right at home in the community it serves.

Led by Julia Epstein, our design team worked closely with TruFi Credit Union to understand their vision and create a facility that will support their members and staff for years to come. The interior spaces are a particular highlight, featuring an efficient layout and a warm, inviting palette of materials and finishes that make visitors feel comfortable from the moment they walk through the door.

Congratulations to TruFi Credit Union on this exciting milestone, and thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey. We look forward to seeing this branch serve the Callahan community for decades to come!

Dasher Hurst was thrilled to attend the grand opening of the Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens new entrance and manatee exhibit—marking the culmination of nearly five years of vision and leadership by Glenn Dasher from Dasher Hurst and Cullen Richart from the Jacksonville Zoo.
The project reimagines the visitor arrival experience, anchored by a new manatee exhibit at the heart of the entry sequence. Guests are welcomed through an expansive plaza shaded by a sculptural, sail-cloth canopy, creating a memorable and dynamic first impression.
The new entrance is framed by expanded amenities, including retail and event spaces to the north and a new foodservice facility to the south—enhancing the zoo’s capacity to serve both daily visitors and private events.
This transformative project was led by Dasher Hurst Architects in collaboration with:
