Today's service call involved a thorough kitchen sink drain cleaning. Over time, grease, soap, and everyday debris had built up significantly in the P-trap and drain line, causing a stubborn blockage. Nathan disassembled the trap, cleared the obstruction with a hand snake, and flushed the system to ensure proper drainage was fully restored. Hot water is always recommended for testing, as it helps break down any remaining residue more effectively.

A clean drain is a healthy drain. Regular maintenance prevents costly repairs down the line.

Installing a new sewer line with a calculated offset to navigate existing pool plumbing. After heavy rainfall refilled the trench, re-excavation was required before proceeding.

The setup utilizes a long sweep 90-degree fitting (permitted in this application) with two 1/16 bends in place of a standard 1/8 bend. Proper fall for 3-inch pipe and above requires 1/8" per foot. Over a 160-foot run, the total fall calculates to 20 inches from the fitting to the sewer connection.

Roughing in a new bathroom — full plumbing renovation in progress. All new PVC drain lines installed, abandoning the old cast iron. Key highlights: two-way cleanout T for sewer access, new 2-inch PVC shower trap tunneled beneath the existing shower, properly vented toilet line to ensure optimal flow and prevent gurgling, and eighth bends used throughout for smoother drainage. Test ball in place for pressure testing. Quality work from the ground up. 🔧

We got called out to a Jacksonville home with a backed-up drain line. Pulled the toilet, ran the snake, and came back with a whole mess of rags and wipes that had worked their way deep into the line. That was the culprit. Then we ran our drain camera to inspect the pipe and spotted something else: sludge building up at the bottom of the line from the water softener discharging into the drain system. Not the cause of this backup, but it sure wasn't helping.

Filled the shower up, watched it drain down, and reset the toilet before we left.
