Another satisfied customer. This property had a failed septic system that appeared to be installed late 60's-70's time frame. The repair system is a 15x45 gravel bed with a new septic tank and pump system. The install was going smoothly until we began digging for the tanks. The tank depth was determined by the sewer line coming from the house which ran 32" under the driveway. We hit ground water relatively shallow. The ground water was undermining the tank hole walls which caused collapsing and would not stay together long enough to set tanks. Moving the tanks was not an option as we had to stay within a septic easement on the property. After some quick problem solving we had a trench box, 210 excavator and debris pump onsite the next morning. We unloaded, assemble and set the box within a few hours. Once shoring was complete, we began getting the hole to grade. After reaching grade, the hole was mucked out 2 feet and then backfilled with washed stone to create a stable base for the tanks to sit. This job turned into a challenge that we overcame and it turned out great.
