Here in Northeast Florida, lightning strikes and electrical surges can cause unexpected problems with gas fireplaces. One common issue we see is damage to the electronic module that controls the gas log set.

The gas log set pictured here had a failed module that needed to be replaced. Our NFI- and CSIA-certified chimney sweeps diagnosed the problem, replaced the module, and got the fireplace back to proper working condition.
