This is what community looks like. ❤️

Today we met a man living out of his truck. When we asked what he needed, he only requested some water.

As we spent time talking with him and hearing his story, we quickly learned that what he really wanted was a chance to work. He wasn’t looking for a handout, he was looking for an opportunity to get back on his feet.

When we reached out to Kevin, owner of Kevlar Construction LLC, and he didn’t hesitate. Kevin immediately stepped up and offered this gentleman an opportunity for general construction work. That’s the kind of local business owner our community is blessed to have, someone willing to see a person, not just their circumstances.

To make things even better, another generous supporter quickly offered to take him to Academy Sports and purchase the work shoes he needed to get started.

What began as a request for a bottle of water turned into a job opportunity, a new pair of work boots, and a path toward stability.

We’re incredibly thankful to Kevin @ Kevlar Construction, and everyone who continues to step up when needs arise. Lives change when a community chooses compassion over judgment and action over words.
