☀️ Florida Heat Is No Joke 🥵
Florida’s sunshine is beautiful—but the heat and humidity can turn dangerous fast. With temperatures soaring and humidity making it feel even hotter, it’s important to protect yourself and your loved ones.
🔥 What to Watch For:

Overheating & Heat Illness: High humidity prevents sweat from evaporating, making it harder for your body to cool down. This can lead to heat exhaustion or even life-threatening heat stroke.
Skin Cancer Risk: Florida ranks among the highest in UV exposure. Even on cloudy days, harmful UV rays can damage your skin and increase your risk of skin cancer.
Increased Risk Factors: Dehydration, alcohol, certain medications, prolonged sun exposure, and physical exertion can all increase the risk of heat-related illness—and in severe cases, death.

💧 How to Stay Safe & Cool:
✔️ Drink plenty of water—don’t wait until you’re thirsty
✔️ Wear light-colored, loose clothing
✔️ Use sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) and reapply often
