Think about how much has changed in 100 years. The homes we live in, the businesses we build, the technology we depend on, even the way we use electricity has transformed beyond what anyone could have imagined in 1926.

But some things haven't changed. The importance of doing the job right, showing up when people need you, taking pride in your workmanship, and building relationships that last generations.

This year, Cochran Electric celebrates 100 years in business!

Four generations, countless projects and one incredible community that has supported us along the way.

To our employees, customers, families, and everyone who has been part of our story - thank you for helping us reach this extraordinary milestone.

For a manufacturing facility, an electrical issue isn't only an electrical issue.

It can mean:

Stopped equipment.
Employees standing still.
Delayed orders.
Missed production targets.
Emergency repairs.
Lost revenue.

That’s why preventative electrical maintenance matters. Finding a worn component, overloaded circuit or failing connection during planned maintenance is a lot easier than finding it after production stops.

For industrial facilities, reliability is part of the bottom line.

When Cochran Electric first started doing electrical work, the average home looked a little different.

No central air or flat-screen televisions.
No Wi-Fi, EV chargers or computers.
Definitely no kitchen counter covered in phone chargers.

Electrical systems have changed dramatically over the last century and so have the demands we place on them.

After 100 years, one thing hasn't changed: good electrical work still matters.

Electrical edition: Is this normal…or should you call someone?

• Lights flicker once when a large appliance starts: maybe normal.
• Outlet feels warm to the touch: not normal.
• Breaker trips repeatedly: not something to ignore.
• Buzzing coming from a switch or outlet: not normal.
• Burning smell with no obvious source: turn things off and call someone.

Electrical systems often give warning signs before a bigger problem develops.
The important part is knowing which ones deserve attention. When you're unsure, it's always safer to have it checked.
