Garrett started this business in 1955, he wanted to provide high quality service and installation. We provide high quality material and equipment as well as highly skilled professional mechanics for our customers and we stand behind our work should a problem arise. We have a computer system designed specifically for companies in the heating and air conditioning business. With this system, we are better able to track the service history and equipment information of our customers. We stock commonly used plumbing, heating and air conditioning parts in our warehouse and we have ten fully stocked service trucks that are radio dispatched. That little valve has a big job. 🔧

On your tank water heater, the temperature-and-pressure (T&P) relief valve helps protect your home by releasing water if the temperature or pressure inside the tank becomes dangerously high. It’s a small safety feature, but it should never be ignored.

For a simple visual check, look for:

• A brass valve mounted horizontally into the upper side of the tank
• A small silver lever positioned away from the water heater
• A copper discharge tube connected directly below the valve and running straight down

Moisture, rust, corrosion, or repeated dripping around this assembly should not be ignored. These signs may point to a valve or water-heater issue that needs professional attention.

A dirty air filter is one of the reasons air conditioner coils freeze up solid! When your filter gets completely choked with dust and debris, your system cannot pull enough air across the evaporator coil. Without that airflow, the refrigerant gets too cold, turning any condensation on the coil into solid ice.

Want to know if your filter is clean? Try this quick test: pull your filter out and hold it up toward a window or a light. If you cannot see light shining right through the mesh, it is time for a brand new filter. Staying ahead of minor airflow restrictions is important for your unit in the summer!
