Jackson Team On Site at UMMC’s New School of Nursing
Our Jackson team recently participated in a project walkthrough for the new School of Nursing at UMMC, an exciting investment in the future of healthcare education in Mississippi. The approximately 115,000-square-foot, $65 million project will create a dynamic learning environment that supports students, faculty, researchers, and healthcare professionals.
The project includes a new three-story, 76,000-square-foot academic building featuring classrooms, research labs, faculty suites, student collaboration spaces, a library, café, and a state-of-the-art auditorium. In addition, the renovation of the historic URC building will provide advanced clinical skills and simulation labs, virtual reality learning environments, standardized patient suites, and other hands-on training spaces.
During the walkthrough, our team had the opportunity to see firsthand how the facility is taking shape and how its open, welcoming design, highlighted by expansive glass curtainwalls and a vibrant shared courtyard, will enhance learning, collaboration, and campus life for generations of nursing students.
We’re proud to be part of a project that will help prepare the next generation of healthcare leaders and strengthen Mississippi’s healthcare workforce.
