I had the pleasure of visiting this site today, in Stonington where we completed this challenging poolscape over the last 2 years. We took it as a referral where another contractor abandoned the project with some materials on site, no plan, just a concept from the client. We fleshed out the design, used what we had for materials and added as needed. Pool deck, sitting walls, retaining walls with bluestone caps, major drainage, irrigation, new plantings and sod were all on the agenda here. Client feels it’s a nice result. We hope you agree!!!

Today in Westbrook, the team is building a beautiful porcelain tile patio using the Trass system. It is designed to allow us to use tile and many other types of stone in a frigid New England climate while remaining fully permeable and free draining. More pics to follow on this project for a great client!

Dispose of rubble, remove concrete steps, prepare a base, install new steps and wall. Done!

It’s before we do some new planting and seasonal maintenance on the Privet Hedge along the common drive but I couldn’t resist snapping some pictures of this project we planted over the past couple of years in Essex.

This project was several years in the making between planning, budgeting and ex*****on. It all started as an idea to improve an area where lawn had never been successful. Ledge, shallow soils, slope and poor soils in full sun. The concept was a retaining wall to lessen the gradient, natural river stone swale to mitigate channelized runoff from the new driveway, Switch Grasses to soften the stone on the house side and best of all a Wildflower Meadow!! Last month was Lupines, now the Rudbeckia and next the Echinacea will carry the day.

When the Ancient Order of Essex Weeders calls for assistance, we call in a Sullivan Lawn Services LLC airstrike with 6 great workers and some state-of-the-art equipment to make efficient work of it! Many thanks to Michael Haze of the Essex Weeders and Town of Essex – Government for the assist with shrub extraction and traffic control!!! A great community effort for the enjoyment of all!!! Big thanks to Bombaci Mulch for providing the material!!!

The guys are putting the finishing touches on this beautiful patio with Granite landing and steps in Giant’s Neck. Just add furniture and a grill and you’ve got yourself a party!😀
