Frame colour is the cheapest thing on a window order and it changes the elevation more than almost anything else you can buy. On a light-coloured house a dark frame draws a hard line around the glass, so the window reads as a shape you chose instead of a hole in the wall. This one's a Redmond job, mid-install. Frame colour gets the attention, but the pattern in the glass is what your eye actually reads from the sidewalk. A heavy colonial grid chops a big window into squares and pins the house to the decade it was built. Take the bars out, or thin them, and the same opening reads taller and wider. It's settled the day you order and then you live with it for twenty years — worth ten minutes of thought. Free quote at the link in bio.

Before we take out a single window, your house gets covered. Furniture sheeted, floors run with drop cloths, the room sealed off. It's the better part of an hour before any actual work starts and it's the part nobody thinks to ask about. Replacement is dusty work — the difference between a good crew and a cheap one is mostly what they do before and after. Free quote at the link in bio.

That's our van, and that's the whole company behind it. No call centre, no franchise, no crew subbed out to whoever was free that week — the people who quote your windows are the people who install them. We've been doing it out of Issaquah since 2010, for homeowners in Bellevue, Redmond, Sammamish and North Bend. Thinking about yours? Free quote at the link.

Not every window goes where a window used to be. Sometimes the right answer is a new opening — cutting the siding back, setting a header to carry the load, and framing an opening that was never there. It's a bigger job than a straight swap and it's the one that changes how a room feels for good. Wondering if a wall could take one? Free quote at the link.

The door between the garage and the house is the one nobody thinks about until it stops closing properly. This one in North Bend had swollen at the base, and a long-gone pet door had been patched over with a square of plywood. The replacement seals, latches, and puts two panes of daylight into a room that had none. Thinking about yours? Free quote at the link.

The best week to replace a window is the one before you need to. Northwest fall doesn't ease in — it arrives, and every failed seal and drafty frame in the house announces itself at once. Getting on the schedule now means the work happens in dry weather instead of during the first cold snap. Thinking about yours? Free quote at the link.

The part you don't see is the part that decides how long it lasts. Every opening gets squared, flashed and sealed before the new unit goes in — and on a slider this size, that's two people and most of a morning on one opening. It's slower than a quote makes it sound, and it's why the draft doesn't come back. Curious what the job actually involves? Free quote at the link.

Same corner, same view — and a room that finally gets the light. The old units had dark frames and a heavy grid chopping the window into pieces. The new ones open the wall up to the yard and let the skywall overhead do what it was built for. Thinking about yours? Free quote at the link.
