Corner shelfs are a breeze with the Festool conturo.

We’d been looking for a system to use on contours that would give us the same quality results as our big edge ba**er.

This setup allows us to utilize the same 1mm PVC banding that the Homag S-200 uses. It will also apply up to 65mm (2 9/16”) wide bandings.

When paired with the Festool MFK 700 modular trim router kit, it makes trimming the banding quick, and easily repeatable.

The consistent edge quality speaks to the engineering behind this tool combo.

Full disclosure: I had zero experience with projects like this, prior to this one.

Knowing we had the tools, and some of the knowledge to do it, I took the challenge.

I leaned on a friend for his sign expertise (thanks Glen!), as well as his plotting printer for a template, to help visualize the final look, and aid in installation.

It took me too long to do it, but it turned out well enough that I’m proud to put my name behind the design, fabrication, finishing, and installation.

Sign was finished with General Finishes Enduro white, and Crecent Bronze, in a pale gold color
