A lot to look forward to in the world of infrastructure!

Our team attended the Regional Infrastructure Opportunities Summit, where agencies and industry leaders shared a look at upcoming projects and opportunities across the region.

The discussions covered a wide range of topics, from major transportation and infrastructure projects to evolving industry priorities and opportunities for collaboration. It was a great chance to connect with professionals across different sectors and get a closer look at what's ahead for our industry!

The Jimmy Carter School of the Humanities is officially open in Brooklyn! Forte and the SCA have completed the new 487-seat middle school!

Built from the ground up, the fully accessible school features academic and specialized learning spaces, dedicated District 75 spaces, a fourth-floor gymnasium/auditorium, and a biosolar roof combining green roof and solar photovoltaic systems.

Following the receipt of its Temporary Certificate of Occupancy, I.S. 004 was ready to welcome students for the new school year. The school is now fully active, with students and staff making use of the spaces our team helped bring to life.

Forte Construction Corp. was honored as part of City & State New York’s Hall of Fame, recognizing the impact our work has had across New York’s transportation infrastructure.

For more than 15 years, our teams have worked across the New York metropolitan area, improving accessibility at subway and rail stations and delivering infrastructure projects that help keep New York moving.

Thank you to City & State for this recognition and for a great evening celebrating alongside so many organizations and leaders making an impact across New York.

EL 239 and EL 240 are now in service at 72 St Station! The two modernized elevators restore elevator service and ADA accessibility for riders on the 1, 2 and 3 lines.

The elevators mark the 32nd and 33rd commissioned by the Forte–Gramercy Joint Venture alongside the MTA, Lead Designer Stantec, and the Naik–STV JV PMC team.

In addition to the elevator replacements, work included new laminated safety glazing at the station kiosk, a new air-conditioning system for the communications room, and improvements within Verdi Square. Below ground, teams completed work alongside the tracks and transported the new condenser along the track bed using a Nolan roller cart.

Forte joined construction professionals from across the country at FMI’s Leadership Institute in Chapel Hill, North Carolina for four days focused on leadership and management.

Through interactive sessions, group discussions, and conversations with industry peers, there was no shortage of good advice, fresh perspectives, and lessons learned.

Time well spent in Chapel Hill. Thank you to FMI for bringing everyone together for such a great experience!
