Forte Construction was proud to host our annual Forte/MTA Intern Day alongside MTA Construction & Development, bringing together interns from both organizations for a unique opportunity to learn, network, and experience an active transit construction project firsthand.
Throughout the day, interns heard from leaders across safety, quality, project management, and executive leadership, who shared insights into their roles, career journeys, and the collaboration required to deliver complex infrastructure projects that keep New York moving. The group then toured the station and gained a firsthand look at the renewal work currently underway at Jamaica-179 St Station.
For interns whose day-to-day experience is primarily office based, the site visit offered valuable perspective by connecting the work they perform behind the scenes to the activity taking place in the field. Seeing construction operations up close helped reinforce how every role contributes to the successful delivery of a project.
Events like these provide meaningful opportunities for emerging professionals to build connections, ask questions, and better understand the many career paths available within our industry. The event brought together interns from both Forte and MTA Construction & Development for a day of learning, discussion, and real-world project exposure.
Thank you to everyone from Forte and MTA C&D who took the time to share their knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm with the next generation of industry leaders. Together, we are helping build both critical infrastructure and the future workforce that will carry it forward.
