When we broke ground on the H-E-B project in San Marcos, Texas, we started the journey as EMJ. Today, we're proud to celebrate its completion as TEXBUILT.

While the name on the project changed, our commitment to quality, collaboration, and delivering for our client never did.

Texas added 17,400 construction jobs from August 2025 to August 2026.

It’s another sign of just how much work is happening across the state, but a growing construction market also means owners need to think ahead. Trade partner availability, procurement, material lead times, and scheduling can all become more important as projects compete for resources.

For owners and developers, the takeaway is simple: the earlier the planning starts, the better positioned your project can be. At TEXBUILT, we believe a successful project starts well before construction begins.

DFW just became the world’s No. 1 data center market. And that’s a construction story.

Dallas-Fort Worth now has 4,587 MW of existing data center capacity, with another 3,202 MW under construction. Demand is outpacing deliveries, and development continues moving into surrounding communities in search of available land and power.

For the construction industry, that scale of growth creates a bigger question: How do we keep building at Texas speed while managing the realities of power, permitting, labor, logistics and schedule?
