🎃 Don’t let squirrels turn your jack-o’-lanterns into a spooky snack this season! Pumpkins may be the perfect fall decoration, but squirrels can see them as a tasty treat.

To help protect them, you could try adding a coat of lacquer or rubbing petroleum jelly around the edges of your pumpkins.

You can also try natural deterrents like hot sauce, garlic spray or vinegar. Just keep in mind that their scents can wear off quickly, so you’ll need to reapply them regularly.

Even with deterrents, squirrels may still damage your pumpkins, as certain deterrents may not be effective. 🐿️

Bat houses do more than offer bats a place to roost. They help protect your home and the environment.

Here’s how adding a bat house can benefit both bats and homeowners:
✅ Provides bats with a safe, clean place to raise their young
✅ Helps control pest insects like mosquitoes, moths, and beetles
✅ Reduces the chance of bats roosting in your attic
✅ Supports healthier bat populations and limits the need for insecticides

Learn more about the benefits of bat houses and whether they can help keep bats out of your attic in our blog!

Building a summer home for bats can play a vital role in their survival, providing optimal roosting conditions that they might have difficulty finding otherwise. They’ll make sure it’s worth your while, too: bats are voracious consumers of insect pests and will keep their populations low. Bat ho...
