The Becker is in the news. The San Diego Business Journal featured the $140M affordable housing community now rising in Mission Valley, the first housing development to break ground at Riverwalk.

MVE serves as both design architect and architect of record for The Becker and prepared the overall Riverwalk master plan for Hines. The community sits at the center of that plan by design. Three buildings of varied height keep the scale approachable; pedestrian bridges connect them, and courtyards open out toward Mission Valley.

The Becker will bring 190 affordable apartments to San Diego families, with a family-oriented mix of one, two, and three-bedroom homes, a rooftop deck, and a walkable connection to the future trolley stop and the San Diego River Trail. Targeting LEED Gold. Completion is expected in mid-2027.

Riverwalk at Studio City has been featured on Urbanize LA! The Los Angeles City Planning Commission has approved this mixed-use development at 12555 Ventura Blvd., a major milestone on the path to construction.

The project will deliver 814 apartments, approximately 76,000 sq ft of commercial space, and 46 affordable units to a site just south of the Los Angeles River. MVE + Partners designed the residential component for developers Genton Property Group, RC Development, and Torino Companies, drawing from the site's riverfront topography to create a layered, contextually grounded design.

MVE-designed 640 S. St. Andrews has been featured on Urbanize L.A..

Located in Koreatown just west of Wilshire/Western Station, the eight-story building delivers 230 units, one-, and two-bedroom residences above ground-floor retail, with amenities including co-working space, a fitness center, a screening room, and a courtyard pool deck. The project also includes 23 extremely low-income affordable units, supported by Transit-Oriented Communities incentives, reflecting our commitment to thoughtful, community-centered design.

This project reflects a strong collaboration with Jamison Properties CT, whose expertise in entitlement was instrumental in bringing this vision to fruition — a building that adds meaningful density and connectivity to one of Los Angeles' most vibrant neighborhoods.

As construction enters its final phase, we look forward to seeing 640 S. St. Andrews become a defining addition to the Koreatown skyline.

Silo Park Reaches First Major Occupancy Milestone in Salt Lake City's Granary District.

In partnership with Lowe Property Group, Bl**er Ventures, and Catalyst Opportunity Funds, we are proud to mark a major milestone at Silo Park with the completion and full occupancy of Greenside, delivering 65 workforce affordable housing units alongside approximately 6,700 SF of commercial space designed to support local businesses and community services.

Construction continues in phases across the broader development, with ongoing infrastructure and site work paving the way for future residential, retail, hotel, adaptive reuse, and public park components throughout the district. Great things are taking shape in Mid-Wilshire.

MVE's design for the mixed-use development at 6052 W. Olympic Blvd., part of the evolving Fairfax Asterisk corridor, was recently spotlighted by Urbanize L.A. as construction goes vertical on the six-story project.

The development will bring 120 new apartments, ground-floor retail, and thoughtfully designed amenity spaces to one of LA's most dynamic neighborhoods. It also advances the city's affordability goals through Transit-Oriented Communities incentives.
