Today, we’re celebrating Eduardo Paz on his 5-year anniversary with R.D. Olson Construction!

Eduardo began his career with R.D. Olson as a Project Engineer and has since grown into his current role as Assistant Project Manager. Over the past five years, he has contributed to several notable projects, including Las Flores Santa Monica, Emporia Place Ontario, and Rose Hills Courts Phase II. Of all the projects he has worked on, AC Hotel Pasadena stands out as his most memorable because it gave him the opportunity to be especially hands-on and adapt quickly throughout the process.

When asked what he enjoys most about working at R.D. Olson, Eduardo shared that it’s the people and teams he gets to work with every day. He values the way collaboration and problem-solving help build strong relationships with coworkers and create a shared sense of purpose. He also appreciates R.D. Olson’s strong company culture and the way the company genuinely cares about its team.

Thank you, Eduardo, for five great years. We appreciate all you’ve contributed and look forward to what the next five years will bring!

Congratulations to Danny Dang on an incredible 35 years with R.D. Olson! Since joining the company on May 29, 1991, Danny has played a pivotal role in shaping how our teams work, connect, and innovate.

From launching the company’s first local area networks in 1991 and helping implement one of our earliest email systems in 1993, to introducing jobsite webcams, leading the move to cloud-based systems and SharePoint, and most recently helping bring Microsoft Copilot to all users across the company in 2025, Danny’s work has consistently moved R.D. Olson forward. His leadership through major transitions has helped the company stay connected, efficient, and ready for the future.

What stands out most is Danny’s appreciation for the people and family-oriented culture that make R.D. Olson such a special place to work. We are grateful for his 35 years of dedication, innovation, and steady leadership, and we look forward to all that’s still ahead. Congratulations, Danny!

Congratulations to John Staff on an incredible 15 years with R.D. Olson Construction — and best wishes on his retirement!

John joined RDO as a Project Manager and is retiring as a Senior Project Manager, leaving behind a remarkable legacy of leadership, expertise, and dedication. Over the years, he played an important role in standout projects including Descanso Beach Club Conference Center, Kings 838 Apartments, SilverRock Conference Center and Clubhouse, Kettner Crossing Senior Housing, and his most memorable project, the Ladera Sports Center — a large and very cool project in his home community.

When asked what he valued most about working at R.D. Olson, John shared that it was the people, the respect and ethics shown by management toward employees, clients, and vendors, the fun company celebrations, and the strong commitment to employee training and jobsite safety.

Thank you, John, for 15 years of dedication and for the many stories, laughs, and memories along the way. We wish you nothing but the very best as you begin this next chapter — you will be greatly missed!

Happy 20-year anniversary to Kristy Mutch, our incredible assistant to the President!

Kristy began her journey with R.D. Olson as a project administrator, and since becoming the assistant to our president in 2015, she’s been an irreplaceable part of our team. Kristy truly wears multiple hats—serving as our office manager, leading subcontractor resources, overseeing all corporate meetings, outings, and functions, and spearheading our charitable events. Most recently, she organized today’s golf tournament benefiting Olive Crest.

Kristy’s favorite part of her job is getting to host the numerous parties and events throughout the year, including the company picnic, win parties, outings, and the Christmas parties! There’s always something to plan, and every day brings something new.
