Yesterday, the WD Team joined the Cerritos College Falcons community & the Cerritos College Foundation for its annual golf tournament, helping raise an incredible $140,000 in support of students. 

As President Dr. Fierro shared, these funds provide resources like book vouchers, emergency funding, and other assistance that can make a meaningful difference in a student’s ability to continue their education.

We’re especially proud to support a campus community we’re actively working with through the Cerritos College Student Housing project, alongside great partners like Tilden-Coil Constructors, Inc. . Thank you to everyone helping bring this project to life! It was a great day of golf, connection, and coming together for student success.

This year, our annual Coastal Cleanup Day carried an especially meaningful purpose. 💙

The WD Team joined Newport Bay Conservancy and OC PARKS for the 5th year in a row to help care for our local coastline, but this year, we dedicated our cleanup to the memory of Spencer Timms, the late son of our Interior Designer, Theresa Timms.

Spencer joined us for last year’s cleanup, sharing his love of nature and the outdoors with our team. A former Eagle Scout, his appreciation for the environment made this day especially fitting as a way to honor his memory and continue something he cared deeply about. This year, Spencer’s older brother, Palmer, joined our team for the cleanup, making the day even more meaningful as we came together in his brother’s memory.

With approximately 80% of marine pollution originating on land, every piece of debris removed before it reaches our waterways makes a difference. We’re grateful to continue doing our part each year alongside organizations committed to protecting these places. Coastal Cleanup Day will always be a meaningful tradition for Team WD, and from now on, it will carry Spencer’s memory with it. In his honor, we’ll keep showing up, caring for our coast, and leaving it a little better than we found it!

A historic setting, thoughtfully refreshed for what comes next!

WD partnered with longtime client, the County of Riverside, to revitalize the Edward-Dean Museum & Gardens, enhancing this distinctive Cherry Valley property while preserving the character that makes it such a special community destination.

From the renovation of the Kay C. Building to improved gardens, gathering areas, circulation, and accessibility throughout the site, the updates create a more welcoming setting for weddings, celebrations, educational programs, and community events.

After 30+ years of working together, we’re proud to continue supporting the County in bringing new life to the places that connect and serve its communities!

“Student housing is no longer just a facilities conversation. It’s a student success conversation.”

That message came through loud and clear at the 2026 Student & Workforce Housing Development Conference. With 60% of California community college students experiencing housing insecurity and only 12 of 116 CCC campuses historically offering housing, the urgency around affordability, wellness, and long-term operational sustainability has never been greater.

One of the highlights was seeing our Cerritos College 396-bed student housing project recognized as part of the statewide housing pipeline discussion. Conversations throughout the conference reinforced the importance of early collaboration, modular innovation, and aligning housing strategies with real student needs.

Grateful for the opportunity to connect with leaders across higher education, development, construction, and policy who are actively shaping the future of student and workforce housing in California.

It's always a great time supporting the San Marino Schools Foundation at their annual donor recognition event! This year’s Donor Derby theme brought plenty of energy, celebration, and community spirit. 🏇

We’re proud to support San Marino Unified School District both through our ongoing projects and through organizations like the SMSF that help enrich opportunities for students across the district. Grateful for the continued partnership and a fun evening spent with district leadership and supporters!
