Okay okay its a joke, BUT it's also closer to real life than it should be.

People are turning the lights off at 6 PM and skipping the AC in a heat wave, because SCE's most expensive hours are 4 to 9 PM, right when you get home. California electric rates went up 47% in four years while overall inflation was about 18%
