George Glass & Window is the only locally owned full-service glass company serving the U.P. George Glass was founded in September of 1947 by Phillip St. Former owners include, Bob Capra & George Schultz (1972-1985) and Hoffer's Inc. Steven Zurcher purchase the company in December of 1991. The store occupied three different locations. The original location at 609 Vulcan St. (1947-1986), 710 Carpenter Ave. (1986-2005) and the current location since 2005.
