If you are looking for something to do tonight, I urge you to come out to the Putnam County Fairgrounds in East Palatka about 7:00PM.

As a child growing up I was fortunate to be involved in raising livestock every year to show and sell at the Putnam County Fair. It taught me a great deal of responsibility in several facets of life. I’m grateful for all of the support I had all those years ago from our business community.

As an adult, I’m proud to support our local youth every year at the Market Steer and Swine sale. I look forward to receiving letters every year as it brings back memories of writing and hand-delivering letters in my youth! We are excited this year to once again be a part of the huge group of businesses and individuals that continue to invest in the future of Putnam County’s deep agricultural roots.

These children and young adults put a tremendous amount of time and work into their animals and tonight is the night they get to “reap what they’ve sown” over the last several months. Even if you have no desire to purchase one of these animals, you can make monetary donations in the form of an “add-on” or you can simply come attend the sale to show your support! Let’s pack the pavilion tonight and show just how wonderful our community really is!

We were invited out to Ochwilla Elementary School today to participate in their “Touch a Truck” event showcasing all different types of trucks and heavy equipment from different agencies and businesses around Putnam County. We were honored to be a part of this wonderful event!

A huge thank you to Ron Gassaway for displaying one of our rigs for the kids to check out! He even handed some bugs (fake bugs, of course) out while he was there. The bugs seemed to be a hit, and I’m hoping no one notices an uptick in insect activity in the west end of the county! 🪳🪳

Unfortunately we have found several colonies of Formosan subterraneans in and around all parts of Putnam County this year too. Give us a call and find out what you need to do to make sure your home is protected!

Formosan termites can have colonies ten times bigger than domestic subterranean termites, the contractor says.

No experience required, we will train you in all the ways necessary to be a successful insect hitman! We offer competitive pay, paid time off, paid major holidays. We don’t normally do any critter control, but we made an exception for this fella... This guy has been “terrorizing” a business in downtown Palatka. He will be relocated to a remote wooded location to live out the rest of his days while munching on insects and wild seeds and berries. 🌲🌳🌴🌲🌳🌴

Coptotermes Formosanus! Some Formosan Subterranean Termites I found at a house on Little Hewitt Lake today. These are a very, very destructive species of subterranean termites. Fortunately for us, they are not extremely common in Putnam County yet.
