Our cedar and treated decks, may need stained or sealed, every couple of years...., Typical builder grade, or standard Instal, And or average , will be trouble for years to come ...there's little steps, like butyl joist tape , and or joist wrap and sealing those joists, before you add the top!! also seal/Stain the bottoms first, and only exterior wood screws &bolts, and lasty over engineering the structure is standard!! You literally get what you pay for these days!
