We’ve been doing tons of coring the past few weeks. Nice to finally get some proper weather for it. 17th hole of the day I hit a thick section of Petromat. More or less had to ruin the barrel to get out the core. Petromat is the worst.

Today we are performing 60 foot soil borings at a proposed reservoir location. Each of the borings is being continuously sampled to get a clear view of the stratification and performing a 10 foot rock core to determine the quality of bedrock at the site. The borings were drilled using mud rotary in lieu of standard hollow stem augers to speed up the process and to keep the boring hole open during sampling.
