Our coalition is encouraged by the lawsuit filed this morning in a federal court in Rhode Island. Our program would provide economic relief to thousands of struggling Hoosier families while facilitating a transition to clean solar energy. We hope for a swift outcome that allows us to implement Solar Opportunities Indiana as soon as possible.

The EPA’s reported plan to rescind Indiana's more than $100 million in Solar for All funding threatens shovel-ready clean energy projects across our state that will reduce energy bills, create jobs and expand access to affordable solar for low- and middle-income Hoosiers.

We’re asking Indiana-based nonprofits, local governments, community groups and other stakeholders to sign onto the letter below urging our Congressional delegation to stand up for Indiana communities and defend the funding Congress intended. These grants are already in motion, and pulling them back would waste months of local planning, preparation and investment.

Are you, or do you know, any employers who hire or train positions related to the solar industry? This may include: installers, maintenance or monitoring technicians, engineers, site assessors, sales reps, marketers, project managers, quality assurance, or supervisors. Solar Opportunities Indiana and TPMA are partnering to conduct a survey with employers about the solar industry. The survey should only take 15 minutes, and will be open until early August.

Earth Charter Indiana is seeking proposals to facilitate language interpretation and translation services for Solar Opportunities Indiana (SOI). The selected proposal will support community meetings, focus groups, surveys, digital marketing activities, and translation of program-specific printed documentation. Identified languages include Spanish, Burmese, Haitian Creole, French, Marshallese, Arabic, Braille, and other languages as needed.

It’s been a year since our grassroots coalition was awarded funds to expand affordable solar opportunities in Indiana. We remain committed to empowering hardworking Hoosier families with resources that reduce energy costs while working toward a healthier environment.
