It’s an honor and a privilege to serve our community. An organization like MOW of Indiana fits well for the mobile nature of our work and honors a tradition that Liz Mattingly started with her kids decades ago.

Our Mattingly Concrete Inc Winter Delivery Team is BACK!�We're so grateful to have them returning for their 7th winter of delivering meals with us — what an incredible partnership! They officially kicked things off on 12/9 and will be helping us deliver meals at least 3 days a week through March 1.

Their team makes a huge difference during the winter months, and it's inspiring to see how they keep their employees active while giving back to the community. Thank you, Mattingly Concrete, for being such a tremendous help when we need it most!

We are sending our crews off to their families early today. We had a great team lunch, awards, raffles, conversations and fun. We love our family and .indy / .cincinnati now to spend a long weekend with family and friends as we celebrate our great country’s Independence Day. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

As June wraps up, I want to take a moment to shine a light on the incredible initiative our crews have undertaken at Mattingly Group to prioritize safety in the workplace. During this National Safety Month, we’ve put learning into practice, especially as we face the challenges of hot and extreme weather conditions.

Throughout this month, our teams engaged in dynamic breakout groups, diving deep into crucial safety topics that are vital to our operations:

💧 Got Water? – Staying hydrated is key as temperatures rise.

🏗️ Foundation Construction – Building a strong foundation starts with safety.

⚠️ Stay Alert - Avoid Slips, Trips, and Falls – We’re committed to maintaining safe walkways and work areas.

🛑 Caught In/On/Between – Understanding the risks associated with working around machinery is essential.

🔊 Noise - Hear Today, Gone Tomorrow – Protecting our hearing is just as important as physical safety.

🧹 Housekeeping at Work – A clean workspace is a safe workspace!

🚗 Driver Safety – Ensuring our drivers are safe on the road is a top priority.

📏 The Three Point Rule – Maintaining three points of contact when climbing is crucial for preventing falls.

🚑 What to Do in an Emergency – Being prepared for any situation is part of our safety culture.

A huge thank you to all our crews for their dedication to safety and for actively participating in these discussions. Your commitment not only protects you but also your fellow team members, creating a culture of care and vigilance.

The devil in the details…

This project is nearing completion with only some interior slab left to go! This phase of The Residences at Carmel City Center was carefully designed to fit two more buildings Wren and Windsor!

Mattingly Concrete Inc. was contracted to pour the mud slabs for paver bases, exposed curbs, sidewalks, ADA ramps, crosswalks, and intersection concrete in the adjoining streets. Parking garage sections were finished as well bringing a decades long development one step closer to being built out! Amazing architecture and planning by Laurence Armstrong at Signature Construction.

We are thankful for the opportunity given to us to round this out, to think 13 years ago we were on the beginning phases of this project in a roundabout way installing concrete counters at an anchor restaurant!

The Mattingly Concrete “Blue Collar Scholar” position is offered to anyone between 16 and 22 years old aiming to explore a career in construction either during summers or full time until graduating. Our program has been running many years and who better than our founder Dan Mattingly himself to get the engagement rolling in 2025!?!

As Dan always said, at some point in life you will be faced with doing your own laundry. When we take kids into our program we have to assume they have never been shown how to even sweep a floor correctly. We start with “how to push a broom” and land in “trailer connections” and “concrete placement” as full blown laborers by the end of a summer break.

Many of our past and current “Blue Collar Scholars” ended up becoming crew leaders, project managers, and estimators within our group of companies. Since the 1980’s our mission has always been to attract the best help and people that want to make a difference.
