Quartz or quartzite? 🤔 They sound almost identical, but they’re actually very different countertop materials.
Here’s the easiest way to remember it:
✨ Quartz = engineered
✨ Quartzite = natural stone
Quartz is a great choice if you want a low-maintenance, nonporous surface with consistent color and veining. It’s especially popular for busy family kitchens because it’s easy to clean and doesn’t require routine sealing.
Quartzite is natural stone, so every slab has its own unique movement and character. It also offers excellent heat and scratch resistance, making it a beautiful choice for a statement island or a kitchen where you really want the natural stone to stand out. 🪨
So which one is better?
Honestly, neither. It depends on your kitchen, your lifestyle, and the look you want. ❤️
If you’re remodeling your kitchen in Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, Westfield, Zionsville, Noblesville or the surrounding Central Indiana area, take a look at actual slabs before making your decision. Seeing the full slab can make a HUGE difference!
