Memorial Day reminds us that freedom was built by sacrifice. Today we honor the men and women who gave everything for this country. From WK Construction LLC & WK Mill & Metal thank you to our fallen heroes and their families. 🇺🇸

Also… this month’s delivery came in hot. The new Southern String Hat Co showed up at the shop and they’re every bit as badass as expected. Clean patch, quality fit, workshop approved.

Built from raw red oak harvested in Brown County, Indiana. Every piece of this custom storm door was cut, joined, glued, stained, and assembled in my shop — including hand-setting the glass. Entry door was restored and custom fit from Madison Street Salvage in Franklin.

Snuck out to the shop and built my wife a white oak recipe holder for Mother’s Day.

These built-ins had good bones—we just brought them to life.

Custom glass insert doors.
New lower cabinetry.
A clean, elevated finish that finally matches the home.

And truth be told—projects like this are hard to wrap up. Not just because of the transformation, but because of the people. Great clients make great work… and we’re definitely going to miss this one.
