Winter is a great time for structural pruning to greatly reduce the size to provide clearance to walls, overhangs, and walkways while ruducing clustered branches that result from years of shearing cuts.

This is also a great time to correct the architecture of your ornamental trees such as Crabapple, Dogwoods, and Redbuds."

Here’s a job we did in Carmel. Replaced Coping and the deck.

Finished this up this past week.

Tore out a fence, River rock beds, old patio and a concrete pad.

Replaced the patio with a new concrete one with 2 seat walls to compliment it.

Brought in good top soil to grade it. Added seed and peat moss to top it off.

We’re in a drought. I recommend watering your trees/shrubs/bushes as well as your traditional plants.

Water as early as possible. The soil should be moist at the touch. Another way to tell is the color of the soil will be dark. As opposed to lite colored when it’s dry.
