Before and after pics of a complete bathroom remodel that was completed this summer. My clients had a vision of what they wanted, and it was my pleasure to bring this vision to life. We left no stone unturned. We started by removing the garden tub, the 10’ vanity/mirror, the old walk in shower, the commode, the vinyl flooring, and the surprise tile flooring under the vinyl. After that, I removed the french doors, water closet door, and moved the dividing wall out a foot to accommodate the new layout. We also removed the windows near the garden tub and replaced them with a nice transom window to allow natural light into the new shower. We moved the old plumbing from the shower to the wall to create a space for the new stackable washer/dryer, adjusted all of the water lines for that, the new vanity faucets, and the new walk-in shower. I also built out part of a wall to encase the large, custom shower pan and new shower column. After all of that, I framed out the area underneath the vanity to better encase the water and drain lines that existed in the slab in that area. Then, I rewired most of the bathroom to accommodate all of the new elements/features they desired. We added wiring for additional outlets for the backlit vanities, lighted mirrors, additional lighting, new light/vent fan, heated towel bar, heated tile flooring, new washer and dryer, and additional backlighting/power sources. Then, on to all of the drywall work that included a bit of a drop ceiling in water closet room, the floating vanity installation, shower pan installation, heated tile pad/wiring, and new vent work for the new dryer. Whew! That’s a lot! All new lighting was installed, new medicine cabinets, heated towel bar, and new faucet installation. After all of that, it was tiling time! I tiled the new pan, the walls, around the niche, and the flooring. After tiling was completed, I installed the new washer/dryer, new commode, new cabinets, towel bars, grab bars, backlit niche, and sexy shower column. This became a labor of love, and a great project to bring to fruition. Kudos to my cool clients for trusting me with this project, and kudos to Northside Glass for the generation and installation of the custom shower doors. Great, great remodel!
