Interesting article. We see this more so since the "great recession". I also hear "good help is hard to find" a lot more.
I post this article only because I want to demonstrate that it takes many good years to hone a construction worker's "craftsmanship". There are a lot of people out there doing great work. There are also lot of people out there that are not. I've cleaned up lot of the work that those people have done.
When you are shopping for a contractor, you should be creating a partnership. Anything less and you are putting your faith in a complete stranger that may or may not have the best intentions. Some of the newer people out there don't have the experience to see the finished project before they drive one nail.
At Monon Construction Group we always want a win-win scenario for the client and our company. That requires a partnership. If we have that then "craftsmanship" can be achieved at the highest level on your project.
