We wrapped up our tree planting job with Regreening Greenfield last Friday. We planted 75 trees at three schools, along the Broadway riparian, the Pennsy Trail, and a few residential sites. The trees are a mix of native species and will have a huge impact in the locations that Regreening chose. We love this work and our partnership with an organization that does so much good.

We posted this on our local neighborhood group to try to find out who did this, but we're sharing here as well. If you saw anything, please reach out.

We planted this Sweet Bay Magnolia tree on a Streetscape volunteer day in the fall of 2019 (see pictures). It was thriving with beautiful, fragrant flowers and red fruit. It is one of our favorite additions to the Streetscape.

Someone recently topped it. This wasn't the work being completed for the bus. We believe this was someone trying to 'maintain' beds because perennials were also cut. It looks like they used hedge trimmers.

If you saw anyone doing work in the bed by MyEyeDr, or any Irvington Streetscape bed, please contact us. We would like to prevent further damage.

Today we checked on the trees we planted last year for Regreening Greenfield. We're thrilled all 54 of them survived! We removed the water bags, added tree guards, and mulched. We also corrected mulch someone else volcanoed on a few of them.
