Hi friends,
I’m reaching out today to ask for your help in supporting a wonderful family. Juan Gomez has been a loyal, hardworking, and incredibly kind employee at Boaz Construction since 2005. Anyone who has had the pleasure of meeting or working with him knows just how special he is.
Juan’s 6-year-old son, Lorenzo, is non-verbal and autistic, and in September 2023, he was diagnosed with cancer. As you can imagine, this has been an incredibly tough time for their family, and the medical bills are piling up. Michael and I wanted to do something to help, so we started a GoFundMe page to ease the financial burden on Juan and his family.
We’ve decided to donate ourselves, but we’re asking for your help as well. Even if it’s just $5, every little bit adds up, and it would mean the world to them. If this is pulling at your heartstrings or if you’ve had the chance to work with Juan, please consider donating.
Thank you for your support, and please keep Lorenzo in your prayers. God bless.
You can help by sharing this GoFundMe and staying with us on Lorenzo’s journey. Every contribution, whether a donation or a share, helps lift our family up and keeps us focused on helping Lorenzo heal.

Lorenzo is non-verbal and autistic, and it breaks our hearts to see how he expresses his desire to go home during his hospital stays. Whenever Lorenzo gets to his room, he goes straight to the window and sits next to it—his way of telling us he wants to go home, as seen in one of the images we’ve shared. Knowing we can't take him home until the doctors say it’s safe is incredibly hard for all of us.
While Lorenzo is bravely fighting cancer, we are trying to plan for the future. This GoFundMe is meant to help us cover any unexpected costs, should anything happen with his insurance or medical bills. We also have a dream of taking Lorenzo to Disney World, a place he has never been but one we hope to visit when he’s 100% cancer-free. Unfortunately, we can’t take him now due to his treatments, but it’s a goal that keeps us hopeful during this difficult time.
