We get it. Networking can feel awkward.

Walking into a room where you don’t know many people. Wondering if you’ll click with anyone. Debating whether to introduce yourself or just stay in your comfort zone. We’ve all been there.

But here’s what we’ve learned: there’s something powerful waiting on the other side of showing up.

Sometimes it’s an opportunity you didn’t see coming. A collaboration. A new client. A mentor. A fresh perspective.

And sometimes, it’s simply a new friendship. Someone who gets it. Someone who becomes your go-to text at the next event instead of walking in alone.

You never really know what can happen when you push through the nervousness and give yourself permission to be seen.

So if you’ve ever felt awkward walking into a networking event... you’re not alone. But we hope you keep showing up anyway. Because something good might be waiting for you on the other side of hello.

Join EMBOSS and Walk & Talk Indy founder and historian, Sampson Levingston, for our 'Walk in the City' summer series — a weekly history walking tour designed to help you get to know Indianapolis in a new way.

Each week, we’ll explore a different neighborhood, uncover hidden stories, learn local history, and experience the city through fresh eyes, all while getting our steps in and connecting with community.

Four neighborhoods. Four different dates.

Whether you're new to Indy or have lived here for years, there’s always something new to discover.

Each Walk & Talk will be held Wednesdays in July from 7:00–8:00 PM.
