Carpet Beetles are round insects with scales that are often mistaken for bed bugs

Unlike Bed Bugs, These insects are harmless to humans and are scavengers who feeds on a variety of materials found in your home

They can fly into your home from nearby landscaping and flower beds. Because they are attracted to sunlight you can find them around window panes, drapes, and window sills
They can accidentally be carried into your home on items like fresh cut flowers and greenery

Carpet beetles are attracted to several types of materials including leather, wool, silk, and dried food. Because of this an infestation can result in damage to carpets, clothing, and linens

Some methods of prevention include Maintaining a clean environment. Keep stored clothing and linen in airtight containers & vacuuming carpets and upholstery regularly
