If your home was built before 1978, the paint used may contain lead. I am a lead safe certified painting contractor which means I use lead safe practices so as not to spread lead paint dust and particles when prepping and painting homes.

I shared this beautiful home yesterday but Facebook has a glitch and it is not appearing on my page. A friend sent this video to me yesterday not knowing that In the late '90s, I painted both the interior and exterior of this home. It sits above the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. The house is a stone for stone replica of a Kent England manor house. Both the craftsmen and the slate for the roof were imported from the Northeast U.S. The owner was a chemist who held patents on the materials used to rustproof everything from k rations to tanks used by the military in WWII. He was an advisor to presidents when that was honorable.

Sadly, this is how I learned that my client, the youngest daughter of the chemist, passed away a year ago. She was a giant in the carrousel restoration world and I also got to spend a few days helping her restore carrousel horses etc. RIP Lorinda.

Sad to learn over a year later that an old client and friend of mine in Pasadena had passed away. Lourinda Bray was a giant in the Carousel Restoration world and had the biggest heart for homeless animals whom many she eventually adopted. I got to spend a couple days with her at her studio priming carousel horses as part of their restoration.

Here’s a link to her beautiful home overlooking the Rose Bowl. I painted both the interior and exterior in 1999 - 2000 before moving to Indianapolis.

Meridian-Kessler ongoing painting project. Homeowners have hired me to paint all the rooms in their beautiful home. This past week, I’ve completed the downstairs guest bathroom, living room, stairwell and upstairs hallway.

Breaking up a large project into several projects is easier on the homeowner with less disruption. This home had not been painted in over 30 years. Walls and trim needed cleaning, primed and two coats of paint to cover the dark colors.

More completed rooms from the Springmill Road project in Indianapolis, IN. The bathrooms had wallpaper that I removed and prepped the walls before I could paint.
