There’s a difference between wiring a house and thoughtfully wiring a custom home. Every fixture, outlet, switch and lighting detail has to work together seamlessly. That starts LONG before the finishes go in. TayCo provides whole-home electrical wiring with the planning, precision and craftsmanship these spaces deserve.

Building a custom home? Bring in from the beginning.

A Generac standby generator means when the power taps out, your house doesn’t.

“Those who work for the good are those who do the good.”

Hard to find a better backdrop for that message.

TayCo’s CEO, Eric Owen, is in Memphis this week for the 2026 St Jude’s Builder Summit, alongside the team from four_oaks_builders, getting an up-close look at the incredible mission of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The Builder Summit brings together builders, trade partners and industry leaders around something far bigger than the projects we build every day: helping ensure families facing childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases can focus on their kids, not the bill.

We’re grateful to Four Oaks Builders for having TayCo alongside them and proud to see Eric representing our team in Memphis.

Because being good at what you do matters.

Using what you do for good matters even more!

Serving communities looks a little different when the jobsite comes with ocean views!

Recently, members of the TayCo team traveled to Dominica for a mission trip filled with hard work, teamwork, a few very steep roofs, and some unforgettable moments along the way.

The crew helped install a solar and battery system designed to provide reliable power where it can make a meaningful difference. But this trip was about more than electrical work. It was about showing up, working alongside the local community, sharing knowledge, building relationships, and using the skills our team has been given to serve others.

We are incredibly proud of the employees and volunteers who traded their normal routines for harnesses, heat, travel delays, and one seriously impressive jobsite.

Good people. Important work. Pretty unbeatable scenery.

A home should feel good the moment you walk in. The lighting, the flow, the way everything just works. That doesn’t happen by accident. It’s planned, wired, and built to function behind the walls so everything you see on the surface feels effortless.

Earth Day is a reminder that how we power our homes and businesses matters. Producing your own energy isn’t about trends. It’s about control, efficiency, and long-term thinking.

Solar became easy to sell when incentives hit. That doesn’t mean it was ever easy to do well. Proper orientation, system design, and how everything integrates into the home all determine how it performs long-term.

If it looks good but doesn’t perform, what’s the point? With TayCo, you never have to choose between aesthetics and performance.

Eric Owen is with Tayco Electric & Solar, which did all of the electrical work in the 2026 St. Jude Dream Home. It’s the first time working on the project for the family-owned company.

“We are rooting for those kids that St. Jude’s helping,” Owen said. “They deserve the best of the best.”
