Serving communities looks a little different when the jobsite comes with ocean views!

Recently, members of the TayCo team traveled to Dominica for a mission trip filled with hard work, teamwork, a few very steep roofs, and some unforgettable moments along the way.

The crew helped install a solar and battery system designed to provide reliable power where it can make a meaningful difference. But this trip was about more than electrical work. It was about showing up, working alongside the local community, sharing knowledge, building relationships, and using the skills our team has been given to serve others.

We are incredibly proud of the employees and volunteers who traded their normal routines for harnesses, heat, travel delays, and one seriously impressive jobsite.

Good people. Important work. Pretty unbeatable scenery.

Eric Owen is with Tayco Electric & Solar, which did all of the electrical work in the 2026 St. Jude Dream Home. It’s the first time working on the project for the family-owned company.
