Bisek Ridge Flower Farm We’re a 2nd year flower farm with a roadside stand located in the hills of Independence, WI. We specialize in farm fresh bouquets, sweet corn and pumpkins.

On tonight’s episode of Aggie’s Farm Tour, she gives you an inside look at Sydney’s hollyhocks. Next, she shares our stock in which she really hopes it gets taller, but it’s still very pretty and has a lovely scent. She gives you a glimpse of the snapdragons her kindergarten class helped plant. And finally, she shares our tallest sunflower. 🌻 And yes, we know she is dirty but she was working hard planting the last of our dahlias and she has our first ripe strawberries on her shirt. 🥰 Enjoy! 😊

There is something so nostalgic about peonies. These peonies must be over 100 years old and have been transplanted several times before finding their home in our front garden.

The light pink one with a buttery cream colored center was Brandon’s Great Grandmother’s who lived on Adam’s street in Independence. He says he remembers beating them with a stick when he was a little boy and getting hollered at by the neighbor lady. Sounds about right. 😂 I love to think about how she enjoyed these blooms so long ago, and now her Great-Great Granddaughters are still swooning over their gorgeous flowers today. 😌

The darker pink peonies were saved from the corner of Bisek Ridge Road and Chruch Hill Road. I remember them blooming every spring when I was little girl. Eventually, my Aunt Marleen and Uncle Bart dug them up and transplanted them in our flower garden. I don’t know who they belonged to, but I am sure they enjoyed them as much as we do.

Happy Sunday!!! This hot and dry weather has really affected our anemones. We have been watering everything daily at minimum, but have been trying to water the anemones a couple times to improve their blooms. We put up a shade cloth on Friday to give them a little break and it seems to be helping! These gorgeous purple anemones are looking really healthy this morning! We can’t get over their color!!!! 🥰

No time for an Aggie Update tonight! We planted about 1,100 pumpkins and gourds this evening. Still have a few hundred to go, but we ran out of tilled rows. 😬

The peonies are starting their “marshmallow stage” and we harvested a bunch! Our second year crop looks so healthy and we will get several stems off each plant. I wasn’t expecting to be able to harvest from them until next year!!!! 😎

💐💐💐💐💐Peony update from Agnes!!!! We’re so close!!! As Agnes explains, we will be saving the majority of our peonies until we have more flowers to pair them with. In the meantime, we will be weeding and sweating and watering. Can’t wait to officially open the stand for the season!!!!
