The old roofing materials have been removed, the decking has been inspected, and we're in the process of installing the complete GAF roofing system the right way, from the underlayment all the way to the ridge cap.

Check Your Pipe Boots Before They Become a Leak!

One of the most common roof leaks starts around plumbing vent pipes. The rubber gasket on pipe boots can crack, dry out, or pull away from the pipe over time, allowing water to work its way into your home.

✅ Look for missing rubber around vent pipes
✅ Check ceilings for water stains near bathrooms or kitchens
✅ Inspect after severe storms, high winds, and heavy rain
✅ Replace or Reseal damaged pipe boots before they cause interior damage

The storm may be over, but the damage it left behind isn’t always easy to see.

Last night’s high winds, hail, and falling tree limbs caused damage across the Kansas City metro. While some damage is obvious, many roofing issues can go unnoticed until they turn into costly leaks.

🏠🔨 Another day out in the field helping homeowners navigate the insurance and restoration process the right way.

Today we were on-site for an adjuster meeting, making sure the property was thoroughly inspected and that nothing gets overlooked. Our goal is always to advocate for the homeowner, provide honest guidance, and help ensure the repairs needed are properly documented.

At Skycap Roofing & Remodeling, we know dealing with storm damage and insurance claims can be stressful. That’s why we work directly with homeowners every step of the way, from inspection to final completion.
