Your electrician has insurance. But are they insured for this? ⚡⛽
From the very beginning, one of the first realities we learned in building JBElectric was that petroleum electrical work is not viewed like ordinary commercial electrical work by the insurance industry.
Electricity + gasoline + flammable vapors + Class I hazardous locations + pollution exposure = a very different risk profile.
That’s why JBElectric carries specialized insurance endorsements for:
Pollution Liability, Professional E&O, and Rectification coverage,
in addition to our conventional contractor insurance.
A COI may show that an electrician has insurance. It does not necessarily tell you whether petroleum electrical work, hazardous locations, and the related environmental exposures are actually contemplated and covered by their policy.
A COI is not a force field.
Fuel-system electrical is not just another circuit.
Let the generalists handle the light switches.
Let JBElectric handle the fuel.
If fuel is in the scope, put us on the bid list.

Fuel-System Electrical Is Not “Just Another Circuit,” an important reality: they are electrical systems installed with flammable liquids, ignitable vapors, pollution and environmental liabilities
