Favorite project to date. I had the opportunity to bring one of my clients many dreams to life. All design choices were made by the owners.
A front entry Dutch Door with a Blue Pine exterior, and a #2 Pine interior. Stained glass was not done by me, artist unknown. The shelf is Blue Pine, and the door jambs are a combination of both pines to complete the look.
The exterior features include early 20th century saw blades as straps, handmade screws, an Arrow Mfg. Door handle, false mail slot, a Thunderbird porthole window for the cat, flattened Chief Oshkosh and Olympia beer cans in the missing knots, an old stove striker, and a cat pull bell ringer.
The interior features include Blue Pine live edge trim around the stained glass, a curved Blue Pine sill to match the curve of the saw blade on the outside; with 2, 1925 Buffalo Head Nickels inlaid, Arrow Mfg. Straps and bolt lock, and an old bell with an iron mount handmade by myself.
Truly a pleasure.
