Red Dog had the awesome experience of being a part of the new Viborg-Hurley athletic complex construction. Relocating the old crows nest and the concession stand/restrooms were our phase of the project! If you have time to join the V-H Administration and School Board for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, it will be held on Monday, August 10th at 6 PM.
We want to say a big thank you to our local Viborg and Hurley contractors and suppliers that we worked with. Johnson Dirt Works for the excavation and getting the water/sewer put in, Farmer’s Lumber and Dakota Ace Hardware for supplies and materials, Lee Construction and Cameron Colony for the concrete, Hardy Construction for the floor finishing, Sorlien Electric for the hand dryers, and a special thank you to Anita Beck for coordinating the acquisition and installation of the bathroom fixtures/accessories. Please take a minute to thank Superintendent Mellem and the School Board members when you see them!! The Administration and School Board members, both past and present over the last decade, have all had a hand in moving this project forward from an initial idea to a wonderful reality. (Just as a quick note, this is Amy writing, not Chris asking for thanks! 🙂) I had to include a shot of future V-H athletes watching Papa Greg move some dirt!
A big thanks to the Sioux Falls area contractors who worked on the job too! Davis Drywall, Five Star Contracting, Gullickson Masonry, Robinson Housemoving, Rock Solid Construction, Steve Drenth Construction and Thunder Ridge Construction. And of course H Photography for the photos (except the one grandma took of the kids).
