This outlet was found at a home in South Huntsville. Most people don’t know that the connection made at outlets and switches are affected over time. When these connections start to break down, electrical arcing occurs which can cause a fire.

Most manufacturers recommend that all connections at plugs and switches should be re-torqued once a year to prevent loose connections. We recommend the replacement of plugs and switches for anyone living in an older home.
