New tool day Wednesday! A 14’ brake from Innovatools Inc this is one of the nicest engineered tools I’ve used, on par with Mafell tools. This will be a great asset for the specialized flashing work we do on church steeples and covered bridges. We also do our own slate repair work and occasionally install standing seam rooves and this will allow us to make all our ridge and drip caps and anything else we need. A big thanks to Ray Haas for the recommendation!

In helmet comm systems are an absolute game changer. I will never stop talking about these because I think that they’re such a boon to safety, efficiency, and a good calm working environment. We use mesh comm systems.

The Depot covered bridge of Pittsford Vermont. I went down to do a conditions assessment, flew the drone over the roof the look at condition of the slate, and installed a come-along to keep the roof from sagging until we get to the repair.

My favorite part of in house rope access training. Once we’ve gone over all the different parts enough times, we go up in the lift together and I get to say: “Get out. Yes here. Get out.” 😂
