She’s big and she’s bold and I grew those stunning Celosia (the hot pink cockscomb) from seed in my own cutting garden!! My gardens have evolved over the years, my pumpkins have evolved over the years, I have evolved over the years. Each one representative of what grew here that year. This one’s sassy and I like it. It depicts the goal I had this season to bring more color to the garden. My husband commented recently my love of mixed media. Colors and textures and nothing quite matching. If I could add polkadots to this one, it would be perfect.😂 Grow what makes you happy! Happy fall y’all! This girl and I will be at The Bradford Store next week, stop by and admire The Bradford’s beautiful garden, its truly inspiring this time of year. ❤️

Fall is here friends and guess what that means?🍂Succulent pumpkins are back! 👏🏻 Each one unique and handmade by yours truly. We are going on 11 seasons of doing pumpkins together!! Incredible and I’m so grateful! 🌿 Do you know what’s even more exciting? They can be found with ME at the new Bradford Store. 🌿New store, same historic Huntersville landmark, unique and handmade by decades of building and supporting community. If you’re not growing your own herbs and you like to cook at home you are missing out! So many herbs we use in everyday cooking, blends like Italian blend, herbs de’ Provence, poultry seasonings all come from a few basic herb plants. Many of which are perennials in our zone. Chives, sage, oregano, thyme, lemon thyme, rosemary, tarragon, mint and even some reseeding basils only ever have to be planted once! You just need a little sunshine, soil in a pot and some patience. Instead of buying those sad little plastic 5.99 herb packs at the grocery store spend those bucks on a new herb start and a cute pot in your kitchen windowsill, patio or garden and thank me later. BONUS: most herbs are cut and come again and love a cute, frequent haircut (who doesn’t? 🤷‍♀️) This current basket of blessings will turn into homemade ranch seasoning, Italian herb salt blend and pesto. I’ve harvested about 8 of these baskets full of herbs just this season off about 10 plants. Grow yourself some herbs and savor the flavor of the season!!!

We have loved bringing you fun handmade, one of a kind plant treasures and you have so good to us! Cheers to new chapters and always shopping local! See you soon Knotty and Board (I’m addicted to your candles, hilarious towels and ALL the kitchen things! 😍) so it won’t be long. Y’all stop in and say hi to Chloe (x2) for me and thank you for always supporting us and our partners. We have a new Fall collection coming soon and of course ALL the succulent pumpkins!!! August is hard for small businesses. It’s hot. Treat yourself and cash in your last chance to use your Dearness Gardens Nursery bucks today 8/31! Say goodbye to August, thank you to the small business that show up even when it’s blazing hot, and grab a new plant baby to pamper till Fall temps rescue us all. Also don’t tell Chris Fickling I was there, I kinda bought my own birthday present. 🤐 Treat yo’self and support small business!!! I got………some fall veggie starts for my greenstalk towers. So hard to start seeds in this heat! 2 “Ruby” Hydrangeas to replace some old sad azaleas in my shady front beds. Dill, basil (I’m still canning like crazy and my fall ones aren’t in yet) another Bay leaf tree and a beautiful go@phrena to start drying the heads for fall succulent pumpkins. What are you growing/hoping for fall? This time of year makes me giddy!!!🌿🌸❤️👏🏻
