Hmmm, Not Parched Yet, Are Ya?
Our weather headlines as we head into a new week: Schools might be starting back soon, but summer is going nowhere anytime soon! So if you want to keep soaking in summer, you have plenty more to go! Hot and humid temperatures in the upper 80s and low/mid 90s will be around all week into this upcoming weekend.
High pressure builds back, and we will see partly to mostly sunny skies for the most part the high will be directly overhead today so limited to very little storm chances are expected but it'll shift some tomorrow and a weak disturbance will rotate around so it'll be hot and humid tomorrow but in the afternoon and evening we will see some scattered showers and thunderstorms around across the state. A stronger-to-severe risk, with damaging winds, can't be ruled out with any storm that tries to tap into the ingredients, especially further north and west.
Wednesday & Thursday we will see hot and humid temperatures; can't rule out a shower or storm chance early in the mountains on Wednesday.
Friday-Sunday: Typical summertime weather with hot/humid temperatures will continue into the weekend with temps in the 80s and 90s and a few scattered pm showers and thunderstorms around! No washouts!!
Cool weather/space happening this weekend: a meteor shower called the Perseids will peak Wednesday night into Thursday. A new moon will make for great viewing; some clouds are possible early if storms are around, but so far it's looking pretty good. I'll have more thoughts on this soon!
